Location: UHealth Tower




Shift Schedule:
4 Days/10 Hour Shifts - Including Weekends



The Office of Patient Experience has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Patient Experience Coordinator Luggage (U) position. The Patient Experience Coordinator Luggage (U) proactively leads all execution, management, and coordination of all patient belongings. Coordinators are responsible for monitoring and tracking patient belongings to ensure all items are handled properly are accounted for in the storage room. In this role, staff will monitor the luggage handling system and processes with a goal of continuous improvement. This position maintains the name and location of the patient throughout the hospital and is in communication with staff or designated loved ones with updates or movements of the patient and/or personal belongings.



CORE JOB FUNCTIONS :



  • Provide exceptional customer service written and verbally to customers related to lost and/or delay baggage.


  • Oversees of patient tracking systems and patient belonging management. Responsible for all patient belongings including tracking and securing items.


  • Maintains the name and location of the patient throughout the hospital and is in communication with staff or designated loved ones with updates or movements of the patient and/or personal belongings.


  • Maintain belongings closet and inventory all belongings.


  • Mails out any patient belongings after discharge.


  • Picks-up and delivers belonging from Emergency Department or the patient floors.


  • Identifies patients who are having surgery and pick up belongings from the floor and deliver to luggage storage area.


  • Delivers patient belongings after surgery to the assigned patient.


  • Receives, addresses and responds to general inquiries, requests for service/support and/or complaints.


  • Researches all inquiries in order to address any issues or concerns. Refers concerns to other service areas/departments for follow up, as needed.


  • Escalates and refers unresolved customer grievances to department leadership for further review, as necessary.


  • Assist with transporting patients in wheelchairs during downtime or other Patient Experience functions as appropiate


  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
