A Master's degree in an appropriate discipline closely related to health, wellness, family and consumer sciences, and/or human development.
This public service faculty position provides statewide support and coordination for 4-H health and wellness programs and serves as a member of the state 4-H staff. The position develops, sources and maintains curricula and training materials that enable district and county 4-H faculty and staff to deliver programs in every Georgia county. In addition to providing professional development to 4-H and youth development educators, the individual plans, implements, and evaluates numerous youth events and activities focusing on health and wellness and family and consumer sciences content areas. The individual leads statewide participation in regional and national 4-H experiences and collaborates with other educational providers such as UGA College of Public Health and UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences. The individual supports the overall 4-H program by serving as Principal Investigator on grants, seeking private funding to support key initiatives, and communicating program impact to stakeholders.
A valid driver's license and a vehicle for official duty travel are required. The position includes frequent work on evenings and weekends.
