Title: Development Associate
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages all aspects of the Nashville State Community College Foundation donor records and accounts, ensuring up-to-date, accurate information on donors and prospective donors is available.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain donor/community integrity by effective use of donor software and data base management. Assist with maintaining excellent communication with donors and volunteers by generating and distributing correspondence to volunteers and donors, such as meeting announcements, thank you letters and other written communications. Coordinate the processing of student financial supports, which may include payments for books, transportation, industry certifications, emergency funds for Nashville GRAD participants, etc.
Assist with Foundation publications and communications, including social media, annual magazine, monthly newsletter and website updates. Maintain a detailed and accurate accounting of foundation income and expenses. Balance cash and receipts, prepare deposits and monitor balance and reconcile various accounts. Work with the college Business Office to ensure accurate record keeping. Assist with developing and managing the Foundation budget. Maintain confidentiality of information. Provide accurate, up-to-date reports to the Executive Director, President and the Foundation Board of Trustees. Generate and review department reports for accuracy. Assist with department/office operations and support other department staff as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree
At least one (1) year of experience supporting a fundraising office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Banner and Raisers Edge
Three (3) years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications. Excellent bookkeeping skills and knowledge of financial record keeping and reporting. Experience in reconciling financial data. Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and equipment. Must be self-directed and capable of taking initiative. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of the college and its mission. Ability to evaluate situations, solve problems and make decisions. Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative relations with students, faculty, staff, administrations, volunteers and members of the community.

Rate of Pay: $40,112 to $ 48,146 annually, depending on experience
