Threat Tec is seeking a skilled Modeling and Simulations (M&S) Capability Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The selected candidate will support the development and execution of M&S-based military training programs for the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) component exercise program.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the M&S Government lead to build an M&S capability within the MARSOC component exercise program, leveraging existing infrastructure to create a library of simulated environments and vignettes.
Model the existing RAVEN physical environment to develop simulations that drive live responses, reducing costs associated with live collection environments and air-to-ground fires.
Establish an enduring M&S capability within RAVEN, training select MARSOC personnel to build, manage, and execute M&S vignettes during training exercises.
Identify integration opportunities for simulations within the MARSOC component exercise program, conducting detailed planning and coordination with higher and adjacent elements.
Develop realistic models reflective of theater strategic and operational environments, supporting live, virtual, and synthetic training environments.
Coordinate with scenario development personnel to ensure continuity between M&S-generated products and existing scenarios.
Create operational and tactical training environments, vignettes, battle rhythms, and scenarios to facilitate integration of advanced technologies and tactics.
Conduct after-action reviews to evaluate the utility and effectiveness of M&S capabilities, publishing results within 30 days after an exercise.
Provide in-progress review briefings to the MARSOC G7 Exercise Director and staff for final exercise plan approval.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' validated work experience in planning, development, and execution of DVTE or M&S-based military training within a Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) accredited or service-level exercise program.
1 year of prior military service as a M&S Officer or Specialist (E-7 to E-9 or O-3 to O-6).
Accredited formal education, certificate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in modeling and simulation (M&S) or Digital Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) systems, theory, and application desired.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
SECRET clearance verified in DISS.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Thorough understanding of Special Operations Forces (SOF) capabilities, support, and operations.
