Join the Pharmacy Core Platform team! As the IT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the highly visible Pharmacy Management System and pharmacy software services platforms; managing the team utilizing new technologies, working with other pharmacy delivery teams, and vendors, ensuring all application infrastructure requirements are met for our customers in all environments.

Please note, this is a hybrid position requiring 8 days per month on-site in Lakeland, FL

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the team in application infrastructure design, capacity planning, tuning, and performance testing of the Pharmacy technology platform

  • Lead the team in installations and upgrades of the pharmacy management system multiple times each year

  • Manage the team in troubleshooting and full end to end root cause analysis on complex, multi-tier systems

  • Ensure team is mitigating any security vulnerabilities quickly, ensuring the team is going above and beyond all HIPAA guidelines and requirements

  • Lead team in long term technical efforts, including but not limited to: hardware lifecycle efforts, application server and middleware upgrades or migrations, and operating system upgrades or migrations

  • Lead the team in utilizing automation for all deployment tasks where feasible

  • Provide updates to management on proactive capacity planning, organic growth, dashboards on performance, real-time monitoring, and recommendations on system enhancements, scalability, and availability

  • Plan projects for team including resource allocation and milestones to meet business area and pharmacy delivery team needs

  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with business area and pharmacy delivery team  representatives

  • Manage relationships with software vendors as needed

  • Provide oversight of the application support processes to ensure timely defect resolution and appropriate escalation of system issues

  • Provide communication and escalation to technology and business area management on critical incidents and problems

  • Monitor production environments to ensure systems are running efficiently and accurately

  • Perform human resource management duties, including hiring, training, performance monitoring and improvement, career counseling, pay reviews, promotions, terminations, and work prioritization for assigned associates

  • Participate in establishing departmental processes, KPIs, and measurement reporting


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent work experience

  • 8+ years of IT experience, including development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated solutions or platforms

  • 6+ years of experience writing and executing SQL in high volume, mission-critical applications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in which one or more of the following occurred:

    • Demonstrated leadership in IT project management; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives

    • Successfully developed and implemented or supported applications in new computing architecture environments, using new and emerging technologies

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high-performance work teams

    • Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems



  • Experience with developing, configuring, and supporting large scale applications within a 24/7 environment; willingness to work extended/off hours unexpectedly if critical issues arise

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management and thrive in a cross-functional environment

  • Experience with human resource management, including knowledge of team dynamics, team building concepts, and human resource policies

  • Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting


  • Ten years of IT experience, including development, maintenance, or support of large-scale integrated solutions or platforms

  • Experience with developing and supporting high volume, mission-critical applications using Oracle and/or SQL Server databases in Unix and/or Windows environments

  • Experience with Pharmacy systems
