This is a fully onsite position at our Downtown Chicago office.

Position Summary:

You will be directly responsible for planning, executing, and completing projects on a timely basis. Specifically, you will maintain the company's financial model, manage a data room, and assist the CFO in the budgeting process. You will be working on multiple projects at once and must possess exceptional time management skills. You will get exposure to multiple functional areas of a pharmaceutical company including sales and marketing, clinical and regulatory affairs, legal affairs, and the company's Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of Financial Modeling:

Work with the Company's CFO to maintain comprehensive financial models that accurately reflect the company's performance and future projections to help the company make critical business decisions.

Sales Forecasting Strategy:
  • Support development with senior management of effective strategies and methods for sales forecasting, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and internal data to enhance the accuracy of sales forecasts.

Board Deck Creation:

Collaborate with executive leadership to create compelling and informative board decks that highlight key financial metrics, performance indicators, and strategic initiatives.

Analyze Financial Position of Company:
  • Support analysis of the financial position of the company, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategic financial decisions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management for discussion and implementation

Fundraising and Acquisition Support:
  • Provide financial analysis and transactional support for fundraising activities, including the preparation of investment materials and engagement with potential investors.
  • Contribute to the structuring and execution of acquisitions, conducting valuations and due diligence to ensure successful transactions.

Requirements:
  • BS in Finance. Economics or statistics also considered. Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least one to two years' experience as a financial analyst in industry or in the capital markets. Investment Banking experience extremely desirable.
  • Strong modeling skills, including experience forecasting, preparing financial models and using various valuation techniques.
  • Proven proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications and PowerPoint. Ability to work with large datasets.
  • Experience in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A solid understanding of M&A process, coupled with transactional expertise in supporting acquisitions / fundraising.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Ability to work full-time in-person at the company's downtown Chicago office.
