Meet the team:



We are currently looking for a Senior Paralegal on our Corporate Governance and SEC team! Come and join a motivated and passionate legal team of corporate transactional professionals. This role reports to the Director, Corporate Governance & SEC.



Where you come in:



  • For our domestic and international subsidiaries, you will handle ongoing compliance with annual government reports and filings and other routine corporate requests.


  • You will assist in the incorporation and setting up of new domestic and international subsidiaries.


  • You will prepare board, committee, and stockholder materials and maintain related records; maintain our corporate governance policies and procedures; and assist with D&O questionnaires and other director matters.


  • You will provide assistance to the securities attorney with respect to SEC matters such as proxy statements, reports on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC filings; review and monitor compliance of stock trading plans; and provide support for capital markets transactions.





What makes you successful:



  • You have a minimum of five years of related corporate governance and SEC experience working in-house at a global public company or at a top tier law firm;


  • Experience supporting attorneys on SEC and governance matters;


  • Expertise working with board portals (Diligent or BoardVantage), SEC filing software (Workiva or ActiveDisclosure), entity management systems, MS Office, Smartsheet, DocuSign, and Adobe;


  • Superb written and verbal communication skills;


  • Demonstrated ability to consistently own and solve problems, and drive results;


  • Team-oriented and collaborative approach;


  • Able to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables;


  • Highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude;


  • Project management experience, strong organizational skills and thorough attention to detail;


  • You are able to work in person in the San Diego office as required, typically 2-3 days per week.

Experience and Education:



  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 - 8 years of related experience.





Travel Required:



  • 0-5%





Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
