The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Cook to our Healthcare Foodservice teams in Pittsburgh, PA and Verona, PA. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations. Please note that this position is listed as temporary, and assignments can change based on staffing needs.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting with the food preparation activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
Adhering to company policies and procedures to provide food preparation, distribution, and service; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development.
Ensuring proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
Directly preparing meals as needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
At least two years' experience in food service.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the year to assigned units.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves:
At least one years' experience in a supervisory role.
Associate's degree or higher.
