The clinical faculty position requires an earned master’s degree (by 6/30/24) in the fields of curriculum/instruction, educational leadership, or a closely related field from an accredited institution; at least three years full-time teaching experience as a PreK-12 classroom teacher, preferably in a public (urban) school setting; a commitment to excellence in teaching, including the ability to model exemplary methods for working with diverse populations of learners; the ability to use instructional technology in face to face, hybrid, and online learning environments; an inclination to collaborate extensively with other professionals in elementary and secondary education; and a willingness to participate as on-site clinical faculty for pre-teachers in the schools. Candidate is expected to participate in the department’s field-based program supervising the fieldwork component for students in various certification programs (EC-6, 4-8, and 7-12). Candidates will conduct field-based observations and coordinate students’ field experiences on-site. The teaching and supervising roles will be the equivalent of a 5/5 teaching load per academic year.
