What you will be doing:  


  • Process New Account/New Membership requests generated within the Call Center.

  • Review daily department deposit error report and make all necessary corrections.

  • Retrieve and research inquiries submitted by frontline staff (T/MSRs) to the member research queue and respond to them accordingly.

  • Process mail from member responses for new accounts opened via telephone request to ensure all required documents are received and the necessary subsequent account maintenance is completed.

  • Process account verification (verification of deposits and loan payment histories) for requests received from third parties for both consumer and business accounts.

  • Perform other duties in addition to normal responsibilities to help the overall workflow of the department and other departments, assigned by team leader or direct report.

  • Upon email notification from Medicaid and Social Security Administration, they need to review member accounts and provide account information as per SSA requests,

    on their website.

  • Retrieve and mail statement copies, tax forms, check copies, and transaction tickets, etc. for requests received from members and Call Center, research requests received via court subpoenas, respond to Medicaid and, SSA/SSI Account Verifications, VOD Requests, respond to IRS and other government agencies, private investigators, etc.

  • Process teller’s check requests, account closeouts, etc.

  • Expected to work closely with several department Specialists to obtain information to complete their daily duties to be able to respond to members’ requests and inquiries.

  • This position is for part-time employees interested in working full-time hours for up to 6 months. The selected candidate will start on May 28th and end on December 6th!

What we need from you:


  • High school graduate.

  • Excellent PC skills.

  • Must be well versed and have general knowledge of savings and lending products and services offered by the Credit union.

  • Must also seek ways to increase their overall workflow when servicing all products/services we offer at the Credit Union.

  • Must be willing to serve on cross-functional teams to meet Credit Union goals.

  • Should have the ability to “change gears” quickly in order to speed delivery of services to the membership.

  • Exceptional organizational skills required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Basic telephone etiquette skills are a must.

Work From Home and Hybrid Requirements: This particular position is Hybrid and requires in-office at our main headquarters (Westbury)/plus work from home:


  • Internet speed of 100mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)

  • Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.

  • All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset)
