DIESEL MECHANIC HELPER at Kroger Supply Chain in CLACKAMAS, Oregon

Job Description:

Assist mechanics, chase parts and tools, steam clean and wash parts, fuel trucks, perform tire maintenance, and conduct trailer preventative maintenance. • Less than high school education plus six months experience in general work; or combination of relevant

education and experience.

• Minimum 18 years of age

• Ability to pass drug test

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work weekends and overtime on a frequent basis

• Ability to travel independently on a rare basis

• Ability to work any shift(s)

• Accuracy/attention to detail

• Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects

• Ability to operate a lift truck, diesel truck, and fuel truck

• Valid driver's license

• Lift truck certification/license

• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure• Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service

• Read work order and follow verbal instructions • Make simple adjustments or repairs to trucks, trailers and dollies
