Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at our state-of-the-art medical facility. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. These images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease. Your responsibilities will include explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients and equipment, performing examinations, and maintaining and operating imaging equipment. Our ideal candidate has a patient-focused approach and is skilled in MRI, CT, and standard radiologic examinations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
- Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety.
- Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position.
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient.
- Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.
- Keep good patient records.
- Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- ARRT (MR) Certification.
- WA State RT license.
- Minimum of 1 year of MR experience.
- Keen attention to detail and MR safety.
Work Schedule:
- Operating hours are from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm.
- Technicians work four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday to Saturday).
Dress Code:
- Scrubs or dress casual with a lab coat.
- Scrub color: Any.
