As a Sales Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the ready-mix concrete industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, while working closely with seasoned professionals in the field.
Responsible For:
Market Research and Analysis:
Research potential clients, competitors, and market trends.
Analyze data to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
Lead Generation:
Assist in identifying and qualifying sales leads through various channels.
Collaborate with the sales team to build and maintain a robust lead pipeline.
Sales Support:
Provide administrative support to the sales team, including the preparation of sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
Attend client meetings and industry events to gain exposure to customer interactions.
CRM Management:
Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to organize and track sales activities.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions.
Customer Engagement:
Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address inquiries, and provide information about our ready-mix concrete products and services.
Assist in building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with clients.
What we are looking for:
Currently enrolled in the Concrete Industry Management Program at South Dakota State University
Familiarity with all commonly used computer software (MS OfficeSuite, etc.).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
A basic understanding of sales principles and techniques is a plus.
