Job Description:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for daily Shipping and/or Receiving processes. The Lead directs and supervises the activities of warehouse employees within the area. This position could be in Wholesale shipping, Direct to Consumer (DTC) Shipping, or Receiving and may involve rotation between any of these positions. Responsibilities include training, mentoring, and developing the team with a hands-on approach while managing day to day processes.

• Understands schedule for the current date through the next five days.
• Plans crew activity for each day based upon the schedule delivered by immediate Supervisor.
• Provides leadership, instruction, and regular communication with crew and other individuals impacted by decisions.
• Communicates effectively and efficiently, both written and verbal.
• Provides regular updates to management.
• Identifies potential roadblocks and delivers recommendations to management as soon as any warehouse inefficiencies are identified.
• Maintains a teamwork environment and must be able to work with all members of the crew and management team by having hands on knowledge of each team members’ role.
• Able to identify if employee(s) are high performers and/or those not meeting expectations. Discussion to be held with management to provide specific details around employee(s)’ development areas.
• Identifies potential improvement opportunities and offers suggestions on implementation.
• Identifies errors and assists in getting to root cause.
• Provides input for employee performance reviews with specific and relevant examples.
• Maintains a safety-focused mindset, reports safety violations, and identifies any safety improvements.
• Acts with professionalism and bases decisions on facts, not on personal opinions.
• Other duties as identified by management.

Has lead process responsibilities over their team. (Wholesale, DTC, or Receiving)

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of related warehouse experience
• Prior experience as a lead or supervisor.
• Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Microsoft Navision (NAV) experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
