VAE, Inc. is seeking a Configuration Manager with the ability to be on site in Ft. Belvoir Tuesday/Thursday.



JOB TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 US (Primary)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

VAE, Inc. is seeking a Configuration Manager with the ability to be on site in Ft. Belvoir Tuesday/Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, correct and prepare Army Enterprise Architecture documents for final staffing and publish.
  • Manage published document library used as distribution point for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Peer review and champion document revisions.
  • Participate in senior level meetings, including chairing O6 level Configuration Control Board (CCB), when required.
  • Support O6 Technical Management Division (TMD) Chief in all aspects of the area of responsibility (AoR)
  • Review and act on O6 level taskers.
  • Develop and publish official documentation on policy and process within TMD AoR.
  • Facilitate and chair meetings with internal and external stakeholders; develop agendas as required.
  • Develop and publish detailed meeting minutes and/or Executive Summaries for meetings attended.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Secret Clearance required
  • Ability to be on site in Ft. Belvoir Tuesday/Thursday
  • Relevant certification preferred (i.e. PMP, ITIL, etc.)
  • 10+ years’ experience in Project Management, Configuration Management, Quality Management, Process Management for DoD Technical Programs.
  • Ability review and refine detailed technical documents ensure proper grammar, format, flow, punctuation, etc.
  • Ability to develop and refine institutional policy and process guidance in support of documenting how PM IEN programs and projects will conduct business.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team setting, where comments/corrections are provided to fine-tune products.
  • Must be willing to present institutional changes to policy and process and take constructive criticism, be willing to contend for the right solutions despite opposition, while being an open listener for alternative solutions from stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with logical and physical network diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to research and utilize IEEE TIA/EIA as well as DISA guidelines and practices, Army and Industry Standards.
  • Must have demonstrable team leadership confidence/experience/communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills using Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and PowerPoint.


CLEARANCE LEVEL: Secret

CERTIFICATIONS: Relevant certification preferred (i.e. PMP, ITIL, etc.)
