Minimum Qualifications:


Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.


Position Summary:

Experience working with economically disadvantaged youth and strong commitment to the goals of the Talent Search project. This position will recruit , select, and orientate potential program participants. This position will assist in the development /implementation of program objectives, participate in the selection/evaluation of program staff.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

* Practical knowledge of students who are first-generation students, and low-income students
* Evidence of the ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders, such as students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external entities.
* Evidence of the ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere
* Evidence of excellent written, oral, and/or visual communication skills
* Flexibility to work during peak program/summer hours, including some nights and weekends
* Microsoft Office 2000

Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinate recruitment, selection and orientation of project participants, outreach activities and participants. Assessment and prescribing participant services and plan activities in community agencies and target schools.

Maintains accurate up to date records and documentation of assessment and placement which includes maintains a data base, academic records, contacts, exit information and evaluations.
