Payroll Tax Consultant at Kforce Inc in McLean, Virginia

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Tax Consultant in McLean, VA.

Essential Functions:

• Tax Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations of payroll tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations


• State Submissions: Prepare and submit payroll tax filings to various states, including withholding, unemployment, and disability taxes


• Research and Compliance: Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to the payroll team on best practices


• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to payroll tax calculations, filings, or notices


• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, and legal, to address payroll tax challenges


• Systems Experience: Leverage your expertise in ADP and Costpoint to optimize payroll processes and ensure accurate tax reporting

REQUIREMENTS:

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed


• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
