    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited Institution with a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training

    • Requires training and or is learning the company ERP system and Quality System management application

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

    • Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.

    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization, customers, and outside regulatory agencies.

    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, geometry, percentages circumference and volume.

    This role will lead product and process development and improvement projects to support the business to achieve established processing and financial targets. This position is located at our aerospace forged rings manufacturing plant in Fontana, California and will involve working collaboratively with Product Quality, Metallurgical and Tooling Engineers, Operations, and other office personnel to improve processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality of the product to ensure customer requirements are met.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.


    • Develop, modify, improve, and troubleshoot the forging / heat treatment processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings.

    • Investigate and conduct experiments concerned with physical characteristics, properties, and processing of metals to develop methods of commercially manufacturing forgings from primarily Ferrous, Aluminum, Titanium and Nickel base alloys.

    • Consult with Product Quality, Metallurgical and Tooling Engineers and the Operations personnel to develop methods of manufacturing at minimum costs, and to implement robust shop floor instructions.

    • Support Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction activities as directed.

    • Perform other duties as assigned
