The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking full-time, Monday - Thursday, 9am - 8pm, Patient Revenue Cycle Senior Coordinator to support our evening clinic programs. This position is paid a shift differential for hours after 3pm. The Predoctoral Clinics are an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients and students.
This position serves as an integral member of the clinic staff, and patient financial services teams in the College of Dentistry. The position will specifically be responsible for all revenue cycle functions for our evening clinic included, but not limited to, check in, check out, taking calls and managing voicemails, scheduling follow up appointments, Insurance billing and cashiering functions.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thurs, 9:00am - 8:00pm
Targeted hiring pay range: $17.10 - $22.60, based on education and experience.
Required Screenings: This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to push / pull carts containing office supplies, bend / stretch / twist to pick up supplies, maintain office appearance, stand and walk for periods of time serving and assisting customers.
Experience and Education:
Required - 2 years' experience in customer service or communications, including analyzing & interpreting information, operation of computer and related peripheral equipment, and in information research & analysis.
Desired - 2-4 years' experience customer service with direct (in person) contact, preferably Healthcare, Dental/Medical office environment, experience using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; considerable data entry experience with a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (word and excel); ability to use basic office equipment; fax machines, copiers / printers, laminators; a high level of verbal and written skills; ability to contribute and work within a face-paced team environment
Additional Information:The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
