Description:


Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.


Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and oversight of observers, medical students, residents and fellows in a clinical setting, and formal lecture opportunities within the department.


Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient clinics, procedure sessions, inpatient coverage, inpatient afterhours on-call service, and possible practice at various locations.


Research or scholarship responsibilities will vary based upon faculty track.  Clinician Educators will typically be focused on collaborative research. Tenure track will typically focus on creating an innovated, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry.
