Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is seeking to hire an experienced Program Manager to lead a complex, global logistics program providing travel and logistical support to law enforcement and justice sector reform assistance programs in Ukraine for up to 30,000 participants per year. The Project Manager will oversee the overall project and manage the coordination with stakeholders. This position will be responsible for the project launch and development of the workplan, all monthly meetings and weekly communications with the donor, and all required reporting. Reporting to the Division Chief (Head) of Turn-key Logistics, this position will line manage all project staff, coordinate with the Global Operations Team to deliver requested travel and event logistics, and coordinate M&E activities with SCG's Knowledge Management Department. The Program Manager is responsible for quarterly and final reporting.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
At least five years of project management experience. Relevant experience includes substantive work in the following: project planning and implementation, scheduling, budget management, resourcing, cross-team integration, and reporting.
A strong record of project management experience, ideally involving complex logistics for multiple events, travel for international delegations from multiple international locations, and engagement with multiple embassy stakeholders.
Knowledge of federal travel regulations. Knowledge of federal grant guidelines (2CFR 200) highly preferred.
Effective communications skills. Experience engaging and coordinating with the Department of State and with embassy personnel highly preferred.
Excellent planning and management skills.
Will be willing to be located at SCG's McLean, VA offices. Some international travel may be required.
Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Master's degree highly preferred.
PMP certification highly preferred.
Fluency in English. Fluency in Ukrainian preferred.
