As a System Tech - Audio at Clearwing Productions, your primary role is to excel in the design, assembly/preparation, transportation, deployment, operation, and maintenance of professional audio systems. You will uphold Clearwing's industry-leading standards and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Reporting to the Audio Operations Manager, you'll contribute to the success of the team through your dedication and expertise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble equipment for shows pulled by the warehouse, ensuring a presentable and fully functional finished product.
Contribute to audio equipment quality control testing.
Assist in diagnosing, logging, and documenting audio equipment repairs.
Participate in technical advances, including onsite surveys, and project management for assigned shows.
(Un)load trucks as necessary, collaborating with warehouse staff to pull, scan, organize, and store equipment.
Gain proficiency in using company inventory control software and hardware.
Communicate changes, especially those affecting pricing, to salespersons and operations/logistics.
Assist in the transportation of gear and staff to and from events.
Manage onsite crews effectively.
Stay updated on industry products and standards through company and self-provided continuing education.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Provide support to other company departments based on work demands.
Manage hard deadlines and schedules in accordance with company and client needs.
Work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Maintain a professional attitude, appearance, patience, communication, and work ethic.
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
Skill / Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in troubleshooting, signal flow, and problem-solving, especially in time-sensitive situations.
Proficiency in networking, RF, com, audio processing, audio system design, and advanced audio theories/practices.
Experience in temporary electrical power distribution, including three-phase 5-wire service tie-in.
Experience in delegating and managing crews, including general stagehands.
Minimum three (3) years of hands-on professional audio experience.
OSHA 10 (minimum) / 30 general industry certification.
Physical Working Conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capability to climb heights of up to 50'.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Proficiency in operating a forklift or other heavy equipment.
Adaptability to work in various outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
