Position Summary

The Vice President of Creator Success plays a pivotal role in Mavely's creator and influencer activation and growth efforts. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of creator-facing managers, ensuring that we provide our creators the highest level of service, care, education and coaching in the industry. The role demands a dynamic, strategic visionary capable of understanding where creators are at in their journey, meeting them there and developing strategies to drive personalized development, traction and growth at scale. Key performance indicators include setting clear objectives, effectively managing the team, and aligning community initiatives with the overarching business strategy.

Essential Functions

1. Strategic Development:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies in collaboration with the Director of Creator Success to meet new and existing creators where they are at in their creator and/or influencer journey and help them meet their growth goals.
  • Identify key trends, develop content and conduct A/B testing on messaging and outreach communications to optimize our creator success efforts.
  • Foster innovation by implementing novel approaches to activate and grow our creator network and their production.
  • Create and oversee training programs and resources to support the professional growth and development of our creators.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure creators have access to relevant and impactful learning opportunities.
  • Craft and execute a holistic creator success strategy that aligns with the company's mission and vision, with a strong focus on activating and growing the community base.
  • Develop strategies to retain our existing creator base and win-back any churned users.
  • Continuously refine and evolve the community strategy to adapt to changing market dynamics and evolving business objectives.

2. Goal Development:
  • Set transparent and measurable objectives for the Creator Success department, contributing to the company's overall success.
  • Monitor progress towards these goals, adjusting as necessary to ensure their attainment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that objectives align seamlessly with broader business goals.

3. Employee Management:
  • Lead the recruitment, selection, and development of a high-performing creator success team.
  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members, cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development plans to nurture team growth and success.

5. Alignment with Business:
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development, to seamlessly integrate community initiatives into the broader business framework.
  • Serve as a pivotal liaison between the Creator Success department and executive leadership, ensuring effective communication regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years' experience in a similar position
  • Proven experience in creator or influencer management, strategy development, and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to align community efforts with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in community management.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of company policy, goals, and standards
  • Ability to assume responsibility & exercise good judgment when making decisions within the scope of the position.
  • Ability to perform the job safely & with respect for others.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent project management skills-able to drive multiple projects and follow through seamlessly.
  • Analytical and critical thinking, creative, strategic problem solver
  • Proficient with data and analytics, drawing conclusions and applying insights to product and program launches globally. Able to supervise performance of content, campaigns, and programs.
