The Big Table (TBT), a nonprofit organization that harnesses the power of food to create Jewish community, encourage ritual engagement, and build connections between Israel and the Diaspora, is seeking a south Florida-based Director of Community Engagement.
By serving as the connective tissue within the world of Jewish and Israeli culinary engagement, The Big Table will create powerful collaborations, and host programs to deepen participants' connection to Judaism, Israel, and community.
JOB DESCRIPITION:
The Big Table is seeking a south-Florida based individual to take a leadership role in planning and executing programs and events in collaboration with institutional funders, community organizations and other partners.
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, have robust communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and strong connections in the south Florida community. The candidate will have at least five years of experience building relationships with sophisticated audiences and demonstrate flexibility in professional situations. Candidates should possess the management skills needed to guide multiple programming efforts while bringing a creative lens and analytical rigor to the work.
RESPONSIBILITES: • Develop partnerships with community organizations in the food and Jewish space, institutional funders, and other constituents • Plan and execute programs and events to enhance mission of the organization • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization • Assist with event planning and logistics • Develop and manage program budgets • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
