Market-leading global food manufacturer is currently in search of a Senior EHS Manager (Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Manager) with a strong background in food, beverage, or consumer products (CPG) manufacturing to join its team, based within its state-of-the-art manufacturing complex in Memphis, TN.
The Sr. EHS Manager will lead the environmental, health, and workplace safety programs for multiple plants within this fast-paced, heavily-automated manufacturing organization, working cross-functionally with the operations management, human resources, safety, and security teams to ensure a safe workplace and full regulatory compliance of the organization's safety, health, and environmental programs.
This is an ON-SITE position, functioning from the company's Memphis manufacturing complex the majority of the time, with 10-15% travel to other facilities.
Primary responsibilities:
Hands-on leadership of all safety efforts, including communication and training on all safety systems, policies, and procedures
Drive and influence a safety-focused culture within the organization, including environmental and safety awareness and accident prevention
Development and management of programs, including environmental compliance, OSHA compliance, emergency response and first responder teams, ergonomic safety, safety training, and EHS orientation programs.
Serve as subject matter expert regarding OSHA regulations
Conduct post-accident investigations and use root cause analysis to strengthen accident prevention initiatives
Management of Workers' Compensation and Return-to-Work programs
Key requirements to be considered for this opportunity:
BS Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related discipline
Certification or professional designation such as CSP is preferred
MUST HAVE at least 4-5 years of hands-on environmental, health, and safety leadership experience within a food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing environment
Must be well-versed in CAA, CWA, RCRA, OSHA regulations, internal and external audits, safety logs and employee safety training
Demonstrated experience managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs
Must have strong communication and systems knowledge. Prior experience with the Alchemy safety training platform is a plus.
