Location: Irving, TX (hybrid)

Reports to: Senior Network Manager

Job Summary:

As a Principal Network Architect at Applied Digital, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure network solutions. Your expertise will shape the strategic direction of our networking technologies, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level networks to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Spearhead network automation projects using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl to enhance system efficiency.
  • Develop strategic plans for network deployment in line with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking technologies with cloud-based environments.
  • Manage and optimize IP routing and switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance.
  • Provide leadership in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 15 years of network architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting (Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl) with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Deep knowledge of IP networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, TCP, and SLB.
  • Proven track record in network design, engineering, and implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE).
