We are now expanding our Commercial Analytics team and are excited to invite an enthusiastic analyst or associate to help shape the value proposition and commercial strategy for our long-distance transmission projects. This role will report directly to the Manager of Commercial Analytics.

Job Responsibilities:
Value Proposition: Manage consultants performing grid modeling studies to showcase the value of projects in our transmission development portfolio; perform ad hoc analyses to support projects and find new opportunities.
Storytelling: Use model outputs and historical power market and weather data to compellingly convey project benefits to both internal and external stakeholders; work with potential customers and stakeholders to design and perform analyses justifying participation in projects.
Market Insight: Track information on potential customers and markets, staying informed about utility integrated resource plans, market design changes, and other initiatives to shape our commercial strategy.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree.
Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience at an energy project developer, consultant, utility, or trading shop working with electricity products or performing wholesale power market analysis.
Independence: Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate across disciplines.
Adaptability: Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, uncertainty, and project changes.
Preferred:
Modeling Skills: Understanding of fundamental or statistical models of electricity markets, experience with production cost modeling or resource adequacy modeling software such as PLEXOS, Aurora, PROMOD, SERVM.
Technical Skills: Experience using a programming language to manipulate and analyze data (python, R, SQL).
