Master Data Management (MDM) Lead- Hyrbid role in a western suburb of Chicago. Full-time direct position. USC and GC only.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in master data quality, offering guidance, training, and change management to internal teams, users, business partners, and stakeholders.
Oversee master data quality throughout its lifecycle independently.
Cultivate strong relationships with various business stakeholders, understanding core processes, and identifying opportunities for data quality enhancement.
Analyze, audit, and improve master data content and quality, implementing new solutions as needed.
Facilitate discussions with business partners to improve data quality, evolve data rules, enhance training, and drive adoption.
Develop and implement internal process improvements, standards, and documentation.
Communicate data quality metrics and facilitate goal setting for data governance adherence.
Coordinate data cleansing initiatives and lead community meetings to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Research, recommend, and implement improvements to supporting tools and systems.
Stay updated on MDM and data quality practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Establish and track KPIs and metrics for data quality, ensuring accountability and adherence to processes.
Manage and mentor junior team members, and handle project development and management.
Experience Needed:
At least 5 years of experience in Business Data Governance or Information Technology.
Minimum of 5 years working with customer/contact master data.
Proficiency of at least 5 years with data profiling and data quality tools.
Familiarity with data catalog and business glossary concepts for at least 3 years.
Experience executing or supporting functions in Customer Care, Information Technology, Sales, or Marketing for at least 3 years.
Track record of managing data quality projects.
Direct people management experience, although the role may not currently have direct reports.
Demonstrated experience in leading Data Governance Councils.
