We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to oversee and ensure financial compliance by meticulously maintaining financial procedures and records, while also preparing comprehensive reports and statements. The successful candidate will be responsible for meticulously tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other pertinent financial activities.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct month-end closing procedures, including the development of financial reports for submission to the corporate office.
-Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing managers to analyze costs for existing and potential business ventures, accurately calculating material costs and determining necessary production operations.
-Evaluate monthly inventories, including finished goods, work in progress, and obsolete items, to inform financial reporting.
-Perform annual inventory revaluations and provide explanations for any variances from previous years.
-Coordinate the annual cost roll-up of manufactured costs, liaising with internal departments to gather updated material costs, standard rates, process specifications, and overhead percentages.
-Maintain and update data files regularly, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
-Engage in projects related to costing, cost analysis, and financial studies as assigned.
-Interface with other team members regarding costing inquiries, new business quotations, or analysis reports related to costs or scrap materials.
