Our client located in the Western Suburbs is looking for a SR. Cost Accountant.
Job Responsibilities:
accounting systems and controls and reconcile several accounts with the monthly close process including:
Labor and Overhead standards
and related reserve requirements
journal entries for review by controller
closing binder and related documentation
accurate underlying cost and pricing data and increasing product profitability over time.
underlying cost and pricing data to ensure data accuracy.
to reconcile accounts and create journal entries as needed.
to work with the accounting system and manufacturing ERP to create and issue invoices and supporting documents and communication.
with departments including quality, R&D, Purchasing, Production and Sales, as appropriate, to ensure that any data discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
customer and SKU profitability to identify opportunities. Compile financial reports and outputs and deliver meaningful reports to stakeholders.
actual performance of several key categories in the Company's P&L.

Scrap and Yield in the manufacturing environment
and Maintenance
Supplies
in planning and forecasting activities with business verticals to achieve business and company goals.
an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
