About Lunder 9 Patients
Lunder 9 is an inpatient 32-bed oncology unit with private rooms. The population consists of acute oncology patients with solid tumor cancers, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and leukemia.
Patients admitted to this oncology unit require complex oncology care which may include complex chemotherapy regimens, biotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, proton therapy and palliative care.
The complexity of care provided to our patients consists of management of symptoms, side effects or complications related to their disease or treatment. Pain management, emotional and spiritual support, education, palliative care and end of life care.
The patient care delivery model is a patient-focused model, supported by primary nursing. Patient-focused care is high quality, comprehensive, accessible, encouraging and personalized!

RN's assure proficient, nursing care including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff.
RN's collaborate with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve optimal outcomes. They also collaborate with the patient toward meeting the needs and expectations.
RN's ensure that care is safe, comprehensive, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient.

Qualifications
Qualifications - External
RN's with a minimum of 1-year recent acute Care RN experience required.
BSN strongly preferred.
MA RN license required.
Strong interest in oncology preferred.
36 hours, Day/Night rotations including weekends and holidays. Flexible scheduling.
