Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Cloud Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure using
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into cloud architecture solutions
Develop and maintain automation scripts using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources
Implement Infrastructure as Code best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability in deployments
Utilize AWS Elastic Beanstalk for easy deployment and management of applications
Manage and optimize the orchestration of resources to ensure seamless scaling and efficient application deployment
Implement and enforce security best practices for AWS environments, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security configurations
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies
Design and configure VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups to establish secure and efficient network architectures
Implement and manage connectivity options such as VPNs
As a Cloud Engineer, you will develop serverless applications
Configure and manage Elastic Load Balancers for distributing incoming traffic and ensuring high availability of applications
Implement fault-tolerant architectures to enhance system reliability
Set up and manage RDS instances for relational database solutions
Implement data storage solutions
Implement CI/CD pipelines
Integrate and automate deployment workflows for .NET applications that use SQL Server
Establish monitoring and alerting systems
Diagnose and resolve performance issues, outages, and other infrastructure-related problems
Performance Monitoring using tools like Datadog
REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and experience
6+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS) implementation, and support (or 8+ years without a 4-year degree)
3+ years working with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Cloud Formation
2+ years of experience configuring and deploying Windows based infrastructure and operating systems, including day-today system administration
2+ years of experience in at least one of the following languages PowerShell, JSON, YAML Python
Experience with compliance standards and frameworks: SOC2, HIPPA, NIST, ITIL, ISO 27001
Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role
Experience with installing and configuring .NET applications that utilize SQL Server
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
