We are looking for several motivated and detail-oriented Interns to join our team for the summer. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic and expanding company in the defense industry. Interns will have the opportunity to partner with a functional area/team for the duration of their internship. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship in a specific area of study or field. Duties will vary depending on the intern's area of study, however it's essential for interns to be flexible, proactive, and willing to learn while contributing to the team's success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various administrative and technical assignments to assist departments or sections and receive on-the-job exposure to various skills; depending on the assigned work area, learn to perform multiple administrative, form creation, planning, analytical, operational, and financial tasks.
  • Research, write, and present reports and recommendations on various government contracting topics; conduct studies and analyses involving assigned programs and functions concerning policies, practices, procedures, financial resources, facilities, proposals, staffing, new programs and projects, program effectiveness, and planning.
  • Collect, compile, describe, organize, analyze, interpret, and present data and information related to the area and issues under study.
  • Assist in coordinating data and materials for the department or functional area to obtain and distribute information and data.
  • Provide administrative assistance such as data entry, file management, scheduling meetings, and organizing documents.
  • Assist with project management tasks, including preparing project plans, tracking progress, and coordinating with team members.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data using spreadsheets or other software tools to generate insights and support decision-making.
  • Compile and summarize data, findings, or project updates into clear and concise reports for internal or external stakeholders.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events such as meetings, workshops, or training.
  • Contribute to social media efforts by creating content, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Develop written or multimedia content for internal or external communication channels, including blog posts, newsletters, or promotional materials.
  • Work closely with team members to support their tasks, contribute ideas, and ensure alignment on project goals and deadlines.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines in all internship activities and interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned to support program requisites.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or associate degree program in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required. SharePoint experience a plus.
  • Genuine passion for field of study.
