Job Description:

CrowdStrike, Inc.

Full time

R18396

About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a creative, experienced Senior Social Media Content Creator to bring a consumer mindset to our social media content creation. The right candidate will have direct experience creating multimedia social content for consumer-facing brands – either in-house, at an agency.
This hands-on role requires the ability to create compelling multimedia content that resonates with our audience and drives engagement. You will lead content creation for our flagship social media channels, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and our podcast. Demonstrable experience in growing social media accounts is a critical requirement of this role.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate well-rounded social content creation abilities, and embrace new content formats and trends to test and perfect them as they emerge. This role will be directly involved in editing CrowdStrike’s podcast, so it’s important that you have direct experience editing podcast audio and producing social shorts to promote the podcast across social media.
The Senior Social Media Content Creator reports to the Director of Social Media, within CrowdStrike’s Global Communications department.
What You'll Do:
  • Create and manage the development of a mix of multimedia social media content, including social shorts (short form videos), motion graphics, GIFS, audiograms, photography, image carousels, and static graphics, customized by social platform

  • Develop innovative social content ideas that help support product launches, partnership announcements, and other newsworthy moments for social media

  • Create multimedia social media content surrounding company and industry events, both on the ground and remotely

  • Transform text-based quotes, messaging points and media mentions into multimedia social content

  • Develop storyboards that make it easy for others to understand and react to your multimedia social content concepts

  • Identify and partner with influencers to co-create social media content

  • Produce, record and edit the audio for our podcast

  • Create social shorts from our podcast, in both video and audiogram formats

  • Consistently identify new formats for multimedia storytelling across social media platforms

  • What You'll Need:
  • A minimum of 5 years creating/producing/editing multimedia social media content either in-house at a major consumer brand, at an agency with large consumer brand clients, or both

  • A strong portfolio of multimedia social content that you have directly created

  • A short list of social media accounts where your content has played a significant role in audience and engagement growth over time

  • While many platforms are important to us, you are an especially active and successful content creator for LinkedIn, familiar with the platform's social content, algorithm, and norms that set it apart from other platforms.

  • A deep understanding of the story structure and content norms that make producing social shorts for feed-based platforms different than producing a traditional video for non-feed environments

  • Direct podcast editing experience, including the ability to produce social shorts from podcast content to attract a larger audience to the long-form podcast

  • Ability to take technical concepts and make them consumer friendly and appealing to a broader audience through social media content

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills. Excellent judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes

  • Experience managing and expanding a network of social media influencers

  • Highly capable and comfortable in large, high-growth, fast-paced organizations

  • Track-record of staying up to date with the latest social media trends, including emerging platforms and new styles and formats for social media content
