JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Supervisor, Materials (Warehouse - Customer Service)

FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

REPORTS TO: Manager, Materials (Corporate Warehouse and Logistics Operations)

SUMMARY

This is an administrative and supervisory position responsible for customer contact work involving coordination, shipping, recording, and updating of customer orders and cancellations. Supervises Coordinator, Materials (Warehouse).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Under general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks:

• Supervise, train & direct Coordinator, Materials (Warehouse - CSC).
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with all customer and Summit Polymers requirements for shipments of products to maintain exceptional customer scorecard ratings.
  • Ensures compliance with SPI Supply Chain procedures & standards
  • Maintain "second level contact" with customers and escalates problems & concerns to manager.
  • Review and confirm that CSC's schedules and shipping dates will meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinates with direct manager and SPI manufacturing plant teams to ensure inventory levels comply with target.
  • Escalate any issues to management, including quality issues, shortages, shipment issues, scorecard demerits, etc.
  • Monitor & comply with customer communications including routing instructions & bulletins.
  • Responsible for following Summit Polymers procedures in accordance with IATF16949
• Learn & maintain all skills required to perform customer service functions for all customers serviced by the corporate warehouse (including Ford, GM, Stellantis, Nissan and others).
  
  
  • Records, adjusts, and updates shipping schedules, cum-cards, samples, new orders, shipping volume, and order changes.
  • Develop daily shipping plans based on customer release and forecast information.
  • Create customer required shipping documentation.
  • Ensure all customer-related shipping communication is completed daily. This includes ASN's, container information, etc.
  • Update shipping documents in accordance with order changes.
  • References all release and blanket orders and ships according to those orders.
  • Coordinate with SPI plant and SPI release accounting to ensure all new program, new part, revision changes and program launch requirements are achieved.
  • Communicate customer blanket orders, "spot buy "orders and any other changes to customers release requirements to the appropriate departments.
• Special projects and assignments as directed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Business or related degree or 2 years experience in Materials or a customer contact position.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position typically does not require any travel.
