Position Summary

Maintains the necessary inventory levels of manufacturing supplies and tools to support production needs

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Collects, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, measuring devices, and other equipment. Maintains records of withdrawals and returns of tooling. Locates missing or misplaced tools; makes repairs as necessary. Ensures that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and meet calibration specifications. Orders new stock and unpacks and stores new equipment. Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints and the ability to follow written welding procedures.

Qualifications-Education/Experience

Required:

• Ability to perform independently, handling basic issues and problems as they arise
• Needs to have a working knowledge of the tool crib process and subject matter
• High school diploma with two years previous experience preferred
• Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills and the ability to understand and follow direction

Preferred:

• Prior experience as a tool crib attendant in a machine shop, preferably within the aerospace industry
