LHH is partnering with a well-known financial services organization that is based in Dallas, TX. We are searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team and assist with the day-to-day accounting function. This will including processing transactions and managing loan portfolios, as well as preparing financial reporting packages and conducting variance analyses. This position is in-office and we are targeting a base salary of $70-80k along with a bonus potential.
Responsibilities:
Reconciling General Ledger accounts and overseeing the month-end close process to ensure accuracy.
Preparing and analyzing financial statements, assisting with audits, and collaborating with internal departments as needed.
Managing all accounting functions for designated entities, including transaction processing, interest calculations, and amortization schedule updates.
Reviewing and processing debt service payments, loan payoffs, and other financial transactions.
Monitoring loan agreements, borrower payments, and maturity dates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Supporting special projects and process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field
3+ years' working experience within corporate accounting; ideally within corporate banking or financial services industries
Proficient verbal and written communication
Familiarity with GAAP accounting and a strong attention to detail
