About the Role: We're seeking a dedicated R&D Senior Associate to join our dynamic team. If you're ready to take the lead on challenging projects and make a lasting impact, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do: The R&D Senior Associate is responsible for managing and overseeing multiple R&D client studies from start to finish. You'll be the main point of contact for clients, ensuring the successful execution of all stages of the study.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Identify areas of qualified client activities and perform qualification analysis to validate or refine research expenses.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person technical client interviews related to employee activities, projects, data analysis, and business operations.
  • Calculate federal and state R&D tax credits.
  • Develop study methodologies tailored to each client's specific needs.
  • Draft customized client deliverables, including executive summaries and technical memos.
  • Develop valuable and lasting client relationships through excellent communication, meeting deadlines and expectations, and presentation of client deliverables.
  • Assist with R&D Associate training as requested.
  • Actively solicit referrals and references from clients.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including heightened working hours during regular tax seasons.

What You Will Need:
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, including patience, a friendly attitude, empathy towards internal/external stakeholders, and with the appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and reasoning abilities.
  • Willingness to change to meet organizational needs.
  • Ability to process and maintain confidentiality while processing sensitive data.
  • Ability to recognize when an incident needs to be escalated.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred, but not required.
  • 4+ years experience in the tax industry.
  • 2+ years' R&D project management experience.
