We are working with an international chemicals manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Manager in their DFW area location. This person should have a background in Chemical Engineering and will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing processes within their operations. Responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety, the manager leads a team to implement strategies, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement. With a focus on compliance, innovation, and collaboration, this role is essential in scaling up production while maintaining high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize production output and minimize costs.
- Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
- Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and supply chain to streamline operations.
- Implement and maintain manufacturing best practices, including lean manufacturing principles.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive initiatives for innovation and technology adoption to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to scale up new products from development to production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing management within the chemical industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
