Assists in planning, coordinating and monitor the research activities of the unit. Develops and administers procedures designed to comply with appropriate regulations relating to the administration of government and private research grants and contracts and for the interpretation and application of such procedures and regulations.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Knowledge of grants and contracts submission to Federal and State agencies; support clinical research campuswide.
These include supporting research mission through support of grant preparation/management and manuscript submission.
Familiarity with website and social media development preferred.
Certification/Skills:
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Database and spreadsheet skills
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education
Minimum Experience:
Two years of experience minimum required. Four years of experience required for the Senior role.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
