McCarthy Building Companies is looking for a self-motivated Equipment Operator Foreman for an exciting civil project in DFW Metroplex. The equipment operator foreman supports the completion of projects by working closely with the equipment operator general foreman, assistant project superintendents, and project superintendents. • Read and interpret detailed blueprints (details, notes, sections, etc.)
• Asist operators when needed by operating numerous pieces of equipment (excavator, roller, motor grader, dozer, skid steer, etc.)

• Manage mass haul operations
• Create logistics and traffic control plans
• Select proper (size, price, etc.) equipment for the job
• Perform materials calculations
• Plan day to day activities
• Assist with creation of look ahead schedules and work plans
• Time keeping and reporting of labor force hours
• Identify issues and provide solutions
• Train and mentor new hires
• Coordinate work with other trades
• Efficiently communicates job expectations to operator crews
• Complete McCarthy EEO policies training
• Complete McCarthy Foreman Development courses

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience managing earthworks crews on large commercial, civil, and marine construction projects
• Must excavation safety systems
• Proper use of common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools
• Flexible—can throw tool bags on as needed
• Proven commitment to Safety

• Work in an organized manner
• Able to work night shifts when needed
• Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Minimum age 18+
• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
