Job Description:


Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $15.48 - Midpoint: $18.56 (Hourly N2)



Department/Organization: 200611 - Admissions Campus Recruiting/Tours



Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm



Job Summary: The Concierge greets and directs guests. Provides administrative support. Serves as initial point of contact for guests entering facilities.



Additional Department Summary: The position will be a liaison for all guests, visitors, faculty, staff and students entering the Randall Welcome Center providing direction and support to prospective students and families touring The University of Alabama. Additionally, the position will respond to calls and messages as well as electronic messages.


Supports administrative staff and function/operation of the Admissions Office as needed. Support includes coverage during staff absences, office operation support when needed and correspondence.



Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.



Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally, clearly, confidently and effectively to in-person guests as well as over the phone. Ability to use initiative and seek resolutions to meet guests needs.
