Sr. Analyst, Business Analytics at Carlisle Construction Materials in Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

The Sr. Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for developing and managing reports for sales, market share and profitability, while engaging with CCM's leadership team and other internal/external stakeholders. This position collaborates extensively with multiple functional areas to deliver proactive and recurring sales & financial analyses while facilitating the enhancement of reporting processes, platforms, and overall visibility into business performance insights.


Duties and Responsibilities:


* Own sales, pricing, and profitability reporting & analysis for leadership
* Proactively analyze & report trends/performance by region, product, and customer
* Manage sales channel processes and initiatives such as territory development plans
* Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting for Sales and Marketing
* Support analysis needs for annual and strategic improvement projects and business initiatives
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc slides and presentations in support of numerous meetings and events
* Interface with external agencies to maintain company/ industry data and report trends/insights to business leaders
* Support monthly forecast consolidation process
* Develop strong partnerships with sales leadership to facilitate intimate understanding of the business that yields value add analysis
* Partner closely with IT function ensuring complimentary efforts in delivering efficient access to and consumption of data throughout the organization


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


* Hands-on experience in sales/margin reporting and Power BI dashboard utilization across areas such as Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance
* Strong Sales & Finance functional knowledge and business acumen
* Ability to distill key themes from analyses and clearly communicate findings to leadership
* Ability to identify trends and document/track opportunities for improvement
* Ability to tailor communication to all levels in the organization
* Able to effectively manage multiple deliverables with appropriate prioritization
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., array formulas, pivot & data tables) to mine transactional data


Education and Experience:


* BS degree in Business (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing) or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business or Financial Analyst, or equivalent role.
