Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implementation, support, and administration of Splunk
Ensure the availability of data sources, enable log/metric flow to Splunk
Perform data parsing, enrichment, and filtering
Deploy changes to all Splunk components
[reform required source tool integrations
Supervise the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization
Ensure availability of data sources with UFs, Heavy Forwarders, and movement of data into Splunk Cloud
Fix Splunk performance issues, log feeds, field extractions, search time, etc...
Coordinate/call out with vendor to resolve any potential issues
Write clear standard operation procedures (SOP) and technical build documentation for maintaining the Splunk infrastructure
Position Qualifications:
At least 8 - 10 years of work experience.
Must have skills: Splunk, Scripting experience (PowerShell, Perl, Python, JavaScript, or Bash scripting), and AWS Cloud platform (EC2/S3)
Nice to have: Linux and Windows with a solid grasp of system administration
Certifications: Splunk Cloud administration
Experience in design, implementation, administration, and support on Hybrid Splunk environments (Splunk Cloud, Heavy forwarders, UFs, Deployment server).
Experience in onboarding and fixing data
Experience in project management and customer service
Good understanding of Role-based access controls (RBAC) in Splunk
Good knowledge of Syslog, and Network protocols
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $43,900 to $110,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance, and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
