Our client, a higher education institution in Boston, MA, is currently seeking Department Coordinator to support the Clinical Health department of its Health Sciences College. The individual in this role will process student applications to co-ops and other needed positions at local hospital units and manage existing placements.
This position will be temporary for 3-4 months before potentially converting to a permanent position. This client is looking for a candidate to start within the next few weeks, so applicants should be prepared for a quick turnaround.
Applicants must be able to work onsite in Burlington, MA 2 days per week to be eligible for this position. Can't MUST have a vehicle for this position.

Compensation: $22-$25 per hour
Responsibilities:
Receive and review student applications for placements
Place students into groups using their current address as listed in database
Collect onboarding documents promptly after finalizing placements
Reallocate outstanding requests to remaining students following placement approvals
Continuously monitor for placement updates and denials
Confirm new unit requests and renewal placements with both returning and potential new instructors
Review placements and renewals for any gaps in cohort needs and escalate as needed to Assistant Deans
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Public Health, Education, or fields relevant to healthcare ideal
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare/clinical environment
Technical proficiency with databases and spreadsheets required, particularly strong familiarity with Excel
Effective, tenacious communicator, especially when follow up is required to gather information/complete tasks
Able to work independently but also ask for assistance/clarification when needed
Exceptional organizational skills and time management
Highly resourceful individual with great critical thinking and problem-solving skills; enthusiastic, quick learner
