Job Description:

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for construction and a strong desire to contribute to the successful completion of commercial projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and other team members.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist with procurement activities, including obtaining bids and negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, identify issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with resolving any project-related issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in commercial construction project management or related role. (2+ years)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
