Quantity Takeoff: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for masonry and concrete materials, including bricks, blocks, concrete, rebar, and other related products.
Cost Estimation: Calculate material costs, labor costs, equipment expenses, and overheads to prepare comprehensive project estimates.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain quotes with material suppliers, subcontractors, and other service providers to ensure competitive pricing.
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering techniques while maintaining project requirements and quality standards.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Communication: Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment throughout the estimation process.
Qualifications:
Experience as a masonry or concrete estimator in the construction industry.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift).
