Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Catholic English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature, grammar, and writing, along with a deep commitment to Catholic values and education. As an integral part of our school community, the English Language Arts Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering critical thinking skills, and instilling a love of reading and writing in our students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive English Language Arts curriculum in alignment with Catholic teachings and educational standards.
Create dynamic and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and understanding.
Encourage students to explore and analyze literature from various cultural and religious perspectives, while integrating Catholic themes and values.
Provide constructive feedback on writing assignments and facilitate peer review sessions to enhance students; writing skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Catholic teachings across the curriculum and participate in school-wide events and initiatives.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and administration to provide regular updates on students' progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification with a focus on English Language Arts
Strong understanding of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions
Previous experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth as an educator
