Establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business Leadership for your assigned commodity/category and/or region as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have global responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve the lowest Total Cost for your site, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your commodity/category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You will be managing several projects in a dynamic environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and implement the category strategy with the Strategic Business Groups.
Complete and report on benchmarking, market intelligence and Economic trends.
Support and track Supplier negotiations to meet corporate goals.
Utilize advanced quoting tools and cost tracking across Business Units and categories.
Create and implement cost reduction ideas from negotiations and supplier engagements.
Improve Working Capital through improved payment terms, VMI and lead-time reductions.
Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships.
Maintain a corporate preferred supplier base and leverage spend across the Strategic Business Groups.
Manage supplier performance by creating and maintaining supplier governance tracking and supplier scorecards across all Business Groups.
Align Supplier technology roadmaps with Business Group product plans to maximize spend leverage and create Best-in-Class performance and cost.
Implement strategies to align with business Growth in New Product Introductions.
Assure supply continuity through long-term agreements and the tracking of market trends.
Align with Site Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality regularly.
Assist in Site Tactical Procurement escalations, reconciliations and reporting as required.
YOU MUST HAVE
Experience in Electricals category procurement/sourcing
Experience creating strategies across different businesses
Success in negotiations and supplier management
