Lead Mental Health Counselor (Licensed)

(Residential Program Monday - Friday)

The Lead will supervise staff who provide individual and family therapy for children, adults, and their families according to intervention strategies approved by Agape Network and Medicaid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and review the completion of all paperwork such as biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, Mental Health Outcomes, CFARS/FARS, ASAM, and FASAMS.
  • Daily review of progress notes for assigned staff.
  • Review of outgoing supporting documentation, court, DCF and other agencies involved in the continuity of care of clients.
  • Daily maintenance and updating of the staff case load.
  • Clinical supervision to be scheduled weekly, biweekly, monthly.
  • Conduct orientation to staff relating to documentation required.
  • Availability for emergency situations during clinical hours or coverage for supervisor that require immediate consultation: i.e., Baker Acts, Police calls, DCF/IRAS reports, safety concerns.
  • Ensuring timely renewal of license and completion of continuing education certificates including HIPPA, CPR, and Relias trainings.
  • Monitor batch errors in electronic health record.
  • Perform peer review audits monthly. Review/ assign staff caseload on credible (EHR system).
  • Act as Residential Supervisor when Residential Supervisor needs to be out.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Residential Supervisor and others.

Education and/or Experience:

Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or Social Work, plus one year experience working with mental health and/or substance abuse population.

Florida Licensed Professional in any or more of the above-mentioned degrees required.
